FULTON COUNTY, Ga. () – An extensive inquiry is underway by Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger following claims that a poll worker in Fulton County improperly scanned several ballots during the December 2nd runoff election.

Raffensperger emphasized Georgia’s commitment to election integrity, stating, “Georgia leads in election security due to our relentless efforts. This is why investigators have been dispatched to Fulton County to meticulously collect evidence and thoroughly investigate the incident from December 2. Our system is engineered to identify such misconduct, and we intend to pursue legal action against the involved poll worker to the fullest extent possible.”

The alleged misconduct occurred at the polling site located at Dobbs Elementary School.

A Republican lawmaker expressed appreciation for the rapid response by the Secretary of State’s law enforcement and the Fulton County Police Department. “Their prompt investigation into these serious allegations of public trust violation is commendable,” the lawmaker stated. “I urge a swift completion of this investigation so that any legal breaches can be prosecuted without delay.”

Georgia Lt. Gov. Burt Jones, also a Republican, criticized the legal challenge, remarking, “This is just another feeble attempt by candidates who failed in the primary. Brad Raffensperger, who leans toward Democratic views, wouldn’t recognize a Republican voter even if they entered his office – which he rarely occupies – simply because he doesn’t align with conservative values.”

NewsChannel 6’s Capitol Reporter, Archith Seshadri, is covering this story, he’ll have a full report later Tuesday.

This is a developing story.
