Dylan Efron recently opened up about his brother Zac Efron’s reaction to his enthusiastic response to a high score on “Dancing With the Stars.”

Speaking on the “Smith Sisters Live” podcast on Tuesday, Dylan shared, “I spoke with Zac about it because I found it amusing,” he recounted.

However, Zac had a different take. “He was like, ‘Oh no,’ and mentioned that people were misinterpreting his reaction,” Dylan explained.

Dylan, now 33, elaborated that Zac, the 38-year-old “High School Musical” actor, was present at the November semi-finals to cheer him on. Zac believed his brother truly excelled in his performance.

“I can’t recall exactly what Zac said, but he thought it was an excellent dance,” Dylan revealed, adding that Zac queried, “Is that the highest score they could give?”

The “Iron Claw” star was caught on camera turning to his mom after Dylan and pro dance partner Daniella Karagach scored 27 points out of a possible 30 for a tango set to the 1983 hit “I Would Die 4 U” by Prince.

Zac then apparently asked her a question, which users on social media speculated as being, “Are those good scores?”

The “Traitors” alum posited that Zac suggested the scores “should have been higher or something like that.”

“But that Zac was, yeah, I don’t know. It was funny regardless. But Zac got defensive,” Dylan said. He’s like, ‘No, they misinterpreted what I meant.’”

The former Disney star finally made his long-awaited appearance on the show to support his little brother on the Nov. 18 episode of the show.

Zac held their little sister Olivia, 5, on his lap, and smiled ear-to-ear while taking in the competition.

Prior to that, fans flooded social media to pressure Zac into attending the show with comedic uploads.

When asked by Extra in October about his brother’s conspicuous absence, the TV star defended him.

“Hey, he’s doing his thing,” he told the outlet, adding that Zac has been “supporting [him] every day.”

Ultimately, Zac and Karagach made it to the finals, facing off against Jordan Chiles, Alix Earle, Robert Irwin and Elaine Hendrix.

Irwin and pro partner Witney Carson walked away with the mirrorball on Nov. 25.
