Serial bank robber targets 2nd Clearwater business a month after first heist: police

CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — The Clearwater police are on the hunt for a man suspected of being a serial bank robber after two recent heists at banks mere steps apart. Both incidents unfolded within the past month, leaving authorities on high alert.

The latest robbery took place around 5 p.m. on December 9 at the Wells Fargo branch situated at 639 S. Fort Harrison Avenue. According to the police, the suspect entered the bank brandishing a gun and demanded money. After securing the cash, he made his escape on an electric bike.
