CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Parkland College and Champaign Unit 4 School District are launching an innovative partnership known as the “Early Transfer Academy.” This initiative enables select students to pursue studies at both institutions simultaneously.

Kendra McClure, Director of Parkland’s Early College Program Faculty, explained that Champaign students interested in the program must apply. Starting in their sophomore year, these students will take Advanced Placement (AP) classes. As they progress, they will engage in summer courses and dual credit classes at Parkland through their remaining high school years.
