Man faces homicide charges after deadly October crash

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. – A 75-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a fatal accident.

The tragic event occurred on the evening of October 13, 2025. At approximately 8:15 p.m., Columbia County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the scene of a crash on the on-ramp to I-20 Eastbound.

According to officials, 29-year-old Tyler Ray Dunham from Grovetown was riding his motorcycle northbound on Jimmy Dyess Parkway. As he approached the intersection, a Jeep attempted a left turn to enter I-20 East, leading to the collision.

Tragically, Dunham was thrown from his motorcycle and did not survive the accident.

The driver and a passenger in the Jeep were taken to Doctors Hospital to receive treatment for their injuries.

The driver has been identified as 75-year-old Roger Brown of Martinez.

Brown has been charged with Homicide by Vehicle and Failure to Yield while Turning Left.
