Downtown Sarasota restaurant celebrates 40 years in business

In Sarasota, Florida, just steps from the intersection of Lemon Avenue and Main Street, sits Patrick’s 1481—a beloved dining establishment that has been a central part of the community for years.

The restaurant opened its doors on December 10, 1985, thanks to the vision of Jim “Sully” Sullivan and his three partners. At that time, Main Street was home to only a few eateries, a stark contrast to the bustling dining scene that thrives there today.
