Kim Kardashian’s daughter, North West, has fired back at detractors criticizing her for a finger piercing, months after she first showcased the contentious accessory.

The 12-year-old, who shares a TikTok account with her well-known mother, addressed the backlash on the platform this Tuesday.

In August, North displayed what seemed to be a dermal piercing on her right hand while on a trip to Italy with Kim. This piercing featured two small silver spheres positioned below the knuckle of her middle finger.

The young celebrity also faced criticism earlier for sporting faux face tattoos and grillz, which she revealed in October.

In her latest TikTok video, North recorded a brief selfie clip set to an audio clip questioning, “Why are you crying? How old are you? Just pull it together.”

She also added text over the reel which read: ‘this is for everyone that’s mad over a finger piercing.’

North had first given a glimpse at the jewelry on her hand during an excursion with her mom in Italy in August.

She had also uploaded since-deleted photos that offered a look into the process of getting the piercing, per screenshots taken by The Sun.

One TikTok user by the name @mazzy_williams shared a post at the time in response to the 12-year-old’s latest bling.

‘north west getting a finger piercing is breaking my heart, just me?’ she had written over a clip of herself throwing her hand over her mouth. The caption had read, ”what is going on #northwest #kardashians.’

The Kardashians star came to her eldest child’s defense in the comment section of the TikTok and simply wrote, ‘it’s okay.’

Fans offered their mixed reaction to North getting the bling, with one saying, ‘It’s such a non-issue.’

However, another shared, ‘She’s literally 12 lol she’s a child and that’s a pretty permanent decision.’

A couple months later in October, North took to her joint TikTok account she shares with her mom and debuted fake face tattoos as well as grillz.

However in her recent TikTok, North filmed a short selfie video as a soundbite played the background saying, 'Why are you crying? How old are you? Just pull it together'

In a series of reels, her blue locks were styled into braids as the 12-year-old sported black grillz as well as a fake nose piercing.

‘Fake piercings and fake tatts for life,’ the preteen wrote in the caption of the one of the posts.

Some social media users speculated that the look could simply be a costume for Halloween while others had differing opinions.

‘She’s 12 years old by the way,’ one penned, and another wrote, ‘She can have a style, but this ‘style’ looks ridiculously grown and not cute for a 12 year old. Would you want your daughter walking around like this?!’

A TikTok user also added, ‘What in the Kanye West is happening?’ and one shared, ‘Tattoos? I mean if you like it totally do it, its really cute but at 12?’

North could also be seen sporting sparkling blue nails as well as blue eye contacts and what appeared to be fake eyelashes.

Kardashian soon clapped back after her eldest child was criticized by trolls over the look.

The reality star responded to a TikTok video uploaded by Daily Mail Australia which covered the backlash and penned in the comment section, ‘This is such a non-issue.’ But it was later revealed it was North herself who penned the short message.

During an appearance on Complex’s GOAT Talk YouTube series last month, Kardashian revealed her daughter’s response to the backlash.

‘She was like, ‘I don’t get it. It’s a Halloween costume. It’s all fake,” the TV personality said.

Kardashian then explained that it had been North who actually responded with, ‘This is such a non-issue.’

‘She takes my phone, and she writes back to a comment, and she goes, ‘This is such a non-issue.’ Then online, it was like, ‘Kim defends North to the end on this look.’ That’s a good clapback.’

The All’s Fair actress then labeled that harsh criticism from trolls as both ‘disturbing’ and ‘horrible.’

‘North, if she ever posts a TikTok, it’s on my phone, so she has to ask my approval, and then I post it, whatever. The comments, all that’s on my phone.’

The star added, ‘So her and her girlfriends, they love doing costumes, they love doing looks, and so, it’s Halloween season, so they put on fake tattoos on their face, fake piercings.

‘They all had their colored hair. They looked like an opium Powerpuff Girls … [that’s] what they were going for.’

'She was like, "I don't get it. It's a Halloween costume. It's all fake,"' the TV personality said

During an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast in October, Kardashian reflected on her eldest daughter’s bold style as well as her maturity.

‘She’s really mature in one sense where she’ll be like, ‘Mom, I saw this and I don’t really care that they don’t like… my blue hair or this or that.’ She’s really confident and is like, ‘I probably wouldn’t be hanging out with those people.”

When it comes to fashion mistakes and allowing North to wear certain looks, the star asked for a ‘little bit of grace.’

‘I’m like, okay, we’re never wearing that again. Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world,’ Kardashian said while also adding that ‘as a mom, you’re kind of like learning at the same time.’
