Danville Police recognize seven officers for actions during Churchill Towers fire

The Danville Police Department recently commended seven of its officers for their exceptional service during a critical emergency at Churchill Towers, as announced by Chief Christopher Yates. He praised their outstanding efforts in prioritizing the safety of local residents during a serious fire incident.

In a detailed update shared on Facebook, Chief Yates highlighted the officers’ vital role in evacuating and rescuing over 25 individuals when the fire erupted on November 30. The blaze, which engulfed the fourth and fifth floors of the complex, left several occupants trapped and in dire need of assistance.

As soon as they arrived at the scene, these dedicated patrol officers immediately took action to ensure the safety of those inside.
