Andy, 57, also took the opportunity to commend the original cast members of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, likening their strength to that of the women in The Real Housewives of Potomac. As he teased the upcoming season six reunion, he provided an update on RHONJ, specifically addressing whether the recent reconciliation between Teresa Giudice, 53, and Luis Ruelas with Joe, 51, and Melissa Gorga, 46, would influence the production.

“Not for a minute,” Andy stated during the December 9 episode of the WWHL: After Show, responding to suggestions that filming should resume for RHONJ following the Gorgas and Teresa’s reunion.

Additionally, Andy spoke about what makes the RHOSLC cast particularly unique, highlighting their special qualities that set them apart in the realm of housewives drama.

Then, speaking of the RHOSLC cast, Andy shared what he believed made the cast so special.

“What is really nice is …. six seasons in, much like [RHOP] … there are still, you know, the OGs, you all were so strong from the start, you all just remained,” he gushed. “[And] I love that I can sense a real level of sisterhood, no matter what happens in terms of the minutia of fighting, I know that you all care about each other, which I think speaks volumes.”

Andy also spoke of the RHOSLC on a recent episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, stating that the reunion taping lasted hours longer than he anticipated.

“Last Thursday was the [RHOSLC] reunion and that was a great, great shoot … We started at 10 something and I’m gonna say at lunch, which was at 1:30, I was in the control room, kibitzing with the producers and I was like, we all like to estimate what time we think we will get out, and usually I’m very good at that. And I was like, ‘I think we’re gonna be done by 6:30 or 7.’ Yeah, we wrapped at 10, so that didn’t happen,” he admitted.

That said, a long reunion is better for the series — and its fans.

“The wrapping at 10 is good news for [RHOSLC] fans because what that means is a lot happened. There were some receipts … [and] there was some props,” he added.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season six airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
