Springfield man accused of drug, weapons crimes

A Springfield man is now facing a slew of drug and firearm-related charges following a police operation that uncovered illegal substances and a weapon inside his residence on Wednesday.

The Springfield Police Department reported that 38-year-old Terry Ballinger was apprehended by their Pro-Active Crime Unit amidst an ongoing investigation. Armed with a search warrant, officers then entered Ballinger’s home, where they discovered half an ounce of crack cocaine, a semi-automatic pistol, and a stash of cash.
