When asked by reporters if changes to the state’s gun regulations would be considered, Minns responded affirmatively, saying, “The short answer is yes.”

Minns also mentioned that law reform is a part of this strategy.

Sajid Akram, 50, and his son Naveed Akram, 24, have been accused of perpetrating the attack, which has tragically resulted in the deaths of 15 innocent individuals, including Sajid Akram himself.

Naveed Akram remains critically injured in hospital under police guard.

Speaking alongside Minns, NSW Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon confirmed the senior Akram held a firearms licence for 10 years.

Police raided homes in Bonnyrigg and Campsie overnight, and have seized the six firearms licensed to the alleged shooter.

Reports indicate a shotgun and bold-action were fired by the alleged gunmen.

Miss also signalled a “comprehensive” police response and policies to combat antisemitism.
