Reports have emerged that filmmaker and “All in the Family” star Rob Reiner, along with his wife, were discovered dead in their California home on Sunday.

According to KTLA, the couple was found with what appeared to be stab wounds at their Brentwood residence. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call that led to the grim discovery. Investigators noted that the couple’s daughter was present at the scene, while their son, identified as a potential suspect, had left the location before the authorities arrived.

Rob Reiner was 78 years old, and his wife, Michelle Singer Reiner, was 68.

Although the police have yet to officially comment on what is believed to be a double homicide, insiders have informed People magazine that the couple’s son, Nick Reiner, is suspected of killing his parents. Nick Reiner has previously opened up about his struggles with drug addiction and homelessness in a 2016 interview with the publication.

“I’ve been back home for quite a while now and have started to readjust to life in L.A. and being with my family,” he shared at the time.
