WASHINGTON — OREO is gearing up for a grand finale to the year with a major product release, including the much-anticipated return of a beloved classic.

Mondelez, the brand behind the famous sandwich cookie, unveiled an exciting lineup of nine new OREO products this week. This diverse range includes both lasting additions and special limited-time offerings. Expect everything from muffins and cake delights to minis and unique cross-brand collaborations.

The nationwide rollout is scheduled between December 2025 and January 2026. But act fast, as some items will only be available while supplies last.

This announcement follows last week’s debut of OREO Zero Sugar Cookies and sees the comeback of Cookie Dough OREOs, making their first appearance in over ten years.

The Cookie Dough OREO, last seen in 2014, will hit shelves nationwide on Dec. 22 for a limited time. 

This version features cookie dough-flavored creme with chocolate chip inclusions sandwiched between two chocolate chip cookies, a notable shift from the original, which used classic chocolate OREO wafers.

Several new items will become permanent fixtures in the OREO lineup beginning in December, including:

• OREO Muffins
• OREO Cakesters Confetti Cake
• OREO THINS Chocolate Ganache
• OREO Minis Chocolate Creme

In January, OREO will launch expanded packaging options for Golden OREO Minis and OREO Minis Peanut Butter, along with the launch of OREO REESE’S Cookies, a new permanent collaboration featuring peanut buttery creme with OREO cookie crumbs.

As previously announced, OREO will debut its Zero Sugar Cookies at the top of the year. 

The cookies, available in regular and “double stuff” varieties, will be permanent additions to the brand’s portfolio and are not limited-time offers, according to Tuesday’s announcement. 

Sugar-free Oreo versions have previously been launched in Europe and China.
