The FBI’s Atlanta division is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for tips related to a recent assault case.
SAVANNAH, Ga. — On Monday, the FBI in Atlanta announced a reward for information that could lead to an arrest following a disturbing “acid attack” in Savannah.
According to the FBI, the incident occurred at 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10. A woman was walking near the intersection of W. Walburg St. and Whitaker St. in the Forsyth Park area when an unidentified man, dressed in dark clothing, approached her from behind and poured acid on her.
The attack left the woman with serious burn injuries.
The FBI is urging anyone with information about this case to come forward. Tips can be submitted by calling 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324), contacting the Savannah Police Department at (912) 651-6675, or providing information online. A reward of up to $5,000 is available for details leading to an arrest.
