In recent interviews, the stars of Real Housewives of New Jersey discussed mending fences with Joe’s sister. They also touched on the anticipated 15th season of the Bravo series, acknowledging that their prolonged disagreements with Teresa, 53, and Luis, 51, had dragged on unnecessarily.
“Things are going really well,” Joe revealed to Extra TV during the Z100 Jingle Ball on December 12. “We’re actually spending Christmas Eve with them. Everything’s good. Thank God.”
“Looking ahead, everything’s fantastic,” Melissa chimed in. “It’s finally how it should have been. Honestly, I’m not sure how things escalated so much, but thankfully, we’re moving forward because life is short. Between us, we have seven kids … So it’s wonderful.”
“Moving forward, everything’s great,” Melissa added. “Just kind of how it should’ve been, to be honest. I don’t know how it got to where it got, but thank God we’re moving on because life is short. We have a lot of kids. There’s seven kids amongst us … So it’s great.”
As for the new season of RHONJ, Melissa said she hadn’t heard anything “yet.”
“We do know that the show is coming back. We just don’t have any details,” she shared.
In a separate interview on Tamron Hall, Melissa described the end of her and Joe’s family feud with Teresa and Luis as a “Christmas miracle.”
“Thank God. And I just see, honestly, the relief in his eyes, that’s everything to me,” she gushed as Joe admitted that “family’s everything.”
“When you have one sibling … I can’t even believe it went this long. It was too long. Life is too short,” Melissa added.
According to Joe, everyone has been telling him, “You need to take baby steps,” but he’s not.
“We’re not taking baby steps. It just went right back to normal. We all miss each other. They came to my comedy show. It was sweet. It was nice. And the kids are great,” he shared. “[Melissa and Teresa] are like back to normal. They’re great.”
Joe also appreciates the example he and Teresa have set for others.
“Everywhere I go now, people are like, ‘I reached out to my brother,’ ‘I reached out to my father … because of you,’” he revealed.
“If we can do it, anyone can,” Melissa replied.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey has been on hiatus since August 2024.
