CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — A boil order continues to affect Neil Street near Kirby Avenue following a water main break that occurred on Monday.

Despite this challenge, local eateries such as McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Steak and Shake, Baxters, and The Ribeye have confirmed they remain open, taking necessary precautions to ensure customer safety.

Kevin Hildebrand, Chief Operating Officer of The Ribeye, shared that while service was limited on Monday night, the restaurant was able to expand its menu offerings by Tuesday. To maintain operations, they have turned to bottled water, soda cans, and portable hand washing stations.
