Elizabeth Banks has never tried Botox at 51, but she’s ‘talking about it’: ‘I’ve never been this old before’

Elizabeth Banks is keeping her options open when it comes to Botox.

At 51, the actress revealed to Us Weekly that although she hasn’t yet opted for wrinkle-reducing injections, she hasn’t dismissed the idea entirely.

“I would consider it,” she admitted when asked about Botox. However, she clarified, “I haven’t done it yet, but I’m thinking about it. I’ll be gathering recommendations for reputable doctors.”

Banks is committed to aging gracefully, aiming to offer women a vision of beauty that feels within reach.

She’s not alone in this sentiment. Kate Winslet recently expressed to the Sunday Times that society’s pursuit of an unattainable perfection, driven by a desire for more Instagram likes, is deeply troubling. “No one’s listening because they’ve become obsessed,” Winslet said, adding, “It upsets me so much.”

In 2023, Banks spoke to Us Weekly on a similar topic, adding that she hadn’t had any work done to her face “because [her] self-esteem is really high.”

“I try and focus on my confidence and less on how I look,” she shared at the time.

Kylie Kelce also announced on this week’s episode of her podcast, “Not Gonna Lie,” that she plans to age without Botox, inspired by Winslet’s Sunday Times interview.

“I have four daughters, and I want them to know that they were made exactly the way they were intended to be made and that they should proceed as such,” she said.

During her most recent interview, however, Banks said she isn’t ready to write her decision in stone, explaining, “I’m trying not to be judgmental of myself, of anything that I would do at any point from here on out, because I’ve never been this old before.”

Botox seems to be the topic of the week, with Candace Cameron Bure announcing that she “feels better” after getting the injections and Amanda Seyfried revealing that, while she has no plans of going under the knife, she has “a really good dermatologist who tells [her] that she’s never gonna do anything but put Botox in the same place for the rest of [her] life.”
