Mark your calendars as the monumental 50th season of Survivor is set to captivate audiences early next year. Fans can look forward to its premiere in 2026, marking a significant milestone for this storied reality television series.

The buzz surrounding this upcoming season is electric, with a cast lineup that promises to be the most star-studded yet. As excitement builds, the show’s producers have revealed that several standout contestants from Season 49 will be returning to compete once more in this golden edition.

In a thrilling announcement made just last week, it was confirmed that two fan-favorites from the previous season, Savannah Louie, who claimed victory last time, and Rizo Velovic, who secured a commendable fourth-place finish, will be joining the ranks for this special season. Their return is sure to add an extra layer of intrigue and competition to the already highly anticipated season.

Some Season 49 Players Will Rejoin For Season 50

Just this past week, the final two contestants for Survivor Season 50 were officially confirmed. The producers pulled two favorite players from Season 49—Savannah Louie and Rizo Velovic, who came in first and fourth place in the most recent season.

Rizo and Savannah will be in good company on the island. Longtime fans of the show will be happy to know that several other Survivor legends are set to return for Season 50. Among the biggest names are Mike White, Cirie Fields, Dee Valladares, and Kyle Fraser.

The show’s host Jeff Probst noted that they tried to pull from some of the greatest Survivor champions of all time. That said, he noted there were some Survivor icons they didn’t invite for Season 50:

We made a decision not to bring any of the winners from Winners at War because we had just seen them and it was a big season. That was the reason why. That simple.

Season 50 Might Be The Best Ever

Given that Season 50 is such a who’s who of great players, it’s possible it will be the most exciting to watch yet. Even Cirie Fields, a Survivor icon herself, noted how thrilled she was for the new season.

Cirie previously divulged to E! News how thrilled she was to be returning back to the island for her fifth time:

I can tell you one thing about Season 50, and I haven’t said this about any other season. I’ve watched since Richard Hatch. I’m a fan as well as a contestant. Best season ever. Best. Not just because I was there. Best. Season. Ever.

Cirie is widely considered to be one of the most skilled players of all time, despite never having actually won. It’s possible that Season 50 will finally be her chance at redemption.
