12. Despite any initial reservations, Williams-Paisley acknowledges that the movie significantly altered her life, even leading her to her husband, Brad Paisley. Back in 1991, the budding country musician was still chasing his dreams, and the film held a special place for him and his then-girlfriend. As it turned out, the actress was none of those, but she was indeed intrigued. “One morning, he just decided to call me, and I agreed because I’m a sucker for someone who’s interested,” she shared with Meredith Vieira. “We began dating, and not long after, we were engaged.”
The couple’s charming story is one they enjoy recounting. Williams-Paisley explained to E! News, “When we tell how we met, he says, ‘Oh yeah, this happened: I was with this girl, and so on,’ while my version is, ‘He pursued me relentlessly, so marrying him seemed like the easiest option.’
