Kyle delved into the reasons why her recent relationship didn’t pan out, while also sharing her views on future dating prospects and reflecting on her marriage with Mauricio, who is 55. Central to her concerns was how her children felt about her moving on.
“Initially, the thought of being separated terrified me because of the possibility of solitude,” Kyle expressed during the December 18 episode of the “RHOBH: After Show.” She continued, “The fear was rooted in the idea of growing old and being alone. But now, I’m embracing a newfound sense of security. If I end up alone, so be it. That fear no longer holds power over me.”
Addressing her past romantic involvement, widely believed to be with Morgan, Kyle assured viewers, “We’re on good terms.”
As for where she stands with her past fling, with all signs pointing to Morgan, Kyle said, “We’re on good terms.”
“It just was bad timing. Our timing just did not match up, you know, and for a multitude of reasons,” she continued. “[And] I actually don’t know [if we could ever work] because I just don’t think that, unfortunately, that our lifestyles and, like I said, the timing were aligned. So, a lot would have to change.”
While Kyle and her unnamed love interest may not have a reunion in their future, Kyle said she hoped to be in a “loving, solid relationship soon.”
“[But] I’m not someone who’s going to chase something. It’s not my personality and who I am today,” she clarified. “I think, obviously, that’s because I was with someone for so long and married so long. You know, I’m not going on a dating app, and I will never do a speed dating thing again.”
“Whatever happens happens,” she added.
Elsewhere, Kyle’s castmates weighed in, with Kathy Hilton, 66, praising her younger sister as “smart” for not making any big decisions when she and Mauricio first split and noting that she may still not be ready to date.
“I think that now it’s been enough time that she should get out, but she’s got to want to and be ready for it,” she explained. “She doesn’t need to get remarried. She’s not having children.”
Then, speaking about the kind of man Kyle needs, Dorit Kemsley, 49, said she should be with someone who “absolutely cherishes her, who adores her, who’s not afraid to show it, [and] who will show it relentlessly every day in a passionate way.”
“Whomever Kyle ends up with needs to be okay with all of Kyle’s life, meaning a public persona, a private persona, her children, her husband… cowboy hats,” added Erika Jayne, 54.
During another segment of the RHOBH: After Show, Kyle reflected on her 27-year marriage to Mauricio, confirming she had no regrets.
“I would not have done anything in my life differently than I have. I had an amazing marriage for many, many years. I was very happy and had a beautiful family. I still have a beautiful family,” she explained.
As for how her daughters feel about her moving on, she revealed they “just want [her] to be happy,” no matter what that looks like.
“They don’t care. They just love me and support me, and that means the absolute world to me. It gives me the freedom to do whatever I want because their opinions do matter to me. I do think about what they think and what they want for me, so having their support makes me feel happy,” she shared. “There’s a sense of freedom of like, I can do whatever, and they’re just gonna love me and support me.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
