Candace Cameron Bure is planning to unplug from the digital world this holiday season.
“Hey, everyone! I’m thinking about taking a break from social media, but it might not happen for a few more days,” the 49-year-old actress shared in her Instagram Stories on Saturday, December 21. “I’m just so thrilled to be back home.”
She has been busy in Europe filming the third chapter of her Great American Media series, Home Sweet Christmas, alongside Cameron Mathison.
“This is my first time shooting in Europe, and it’s incredibly exciting,” Cameron Bure revealed to Us Weekly last month. “In this installment, Sam and Sophie embark on a European Christmas getaway to celebrate their first anniversary. They’ll explore charming Christmas markets, wander through castles, and embrace the unique magic of a European Christmas.”
Cameron Bure and Mathison, 56, starred as childhood friends Sophie and Sam, who reunited years later when they both inherited a farm in 2024’s Home Sweet Christmas. They reprised their roles in this year’s Another Sweet Christmas, with A Sweet Christmas Anniversary set for release in 2026.
Cameron Bure is a major fan of the holiday season, even having made dozens of Christmas-themed movies for Hallmark and Great American Family.
“It’s the holiday I look forward to most. I like to make it as peaceful and simple as possible and really make Christmas about connecting with my family and friends,” she told Us in her cover story published earlier this month. “The older I get, I just want to have deep, meaningful moments. Val [Bure, my husband] always makes a beautiful Christmas Eve dinner for us and then we go to church.”

According to Cameron Bure, her strong Christian faith ties into her festive celebrations.
“Jesus being born … is the foundation of it, which is why we read the Bible the morning of Christmas to remind ourselves what we’re actually celebrating,” she explained. “Jesus gave us the gift of salvation. Those are beautiful things.”
Throughout her years in the spotlight, Cameron Bure has been outspoken about her religious beliefs.
“The Bible says to go out into the world and share the good news with others, to share the gospel,” she told Us. “To deny that in any part of my life would be denying the very thing that I’m so appreciative of, which is Jesus. I cannot separate those two things, and so I walk boldly in that. Throughout that process, sometimes you take hits and people don’t like you for it, but this is my life. I get to make my choices.”
Cameron Bure’s former Full House sister Jodie Sweetin recently opened up about how the actress’ beliefs differ from her own.
“Candace’s faith, to be quite honest, has always been at the forefront for her, and I have zero problem with that,” Sweetin, 43, said on the Tuesday, December 16, episode of “The Moment” podcast. “I have no problem with religion if it brings you peace and happiness, not necessarily saying that her brand of religion is not necessarily peace and happiness. I don’t really know.”
