An image containing a photo of US President Donald Trump appears to have been removed from the Department of Justice’s “Epstein Library.”

An intriguing photo depicting a desk adorned with several framed pictures and an open drawer containing additional images was among the documents released by the Justice Department on Friday.

This photograph, file 468, from the Epstein files that includes a photo of Donald Trump, was originally included in the Department of Justice’s files realeased Friday. The photo no longer appears on their website. (CNN)

This particular image is one of the few instances referencing former President Donald Trump within the newly unveiled documents.

Interestingly, a gap has emerged on the DOJ’s Epstein files website where this specific image, initially labeled “EFTA00000468,” was previously available. As of 2:45 p.m. ET on Saturday (6:45 a.m. Sunday AEDT), the sequence on the site skips directly from file “EFTA00000467” to “EFTA00000469.”

The reasons behind the removal of the photo remain unclear. CNN has reached out to both the Department of Justice and the White House seeking clarification.

It is important to note that Trump has not been implicated in any criminal activities or charged with any offenses related to Epstein.

Congressional Democrats highlighted the image’s apparent removal on Saturday.

“(Attorney General Pam Bondi) is this true? What else is being covered up? We need transparency for the American public,” House Oversight Committee Democrats wrote in a post on X.

Senator Chuck Schumer asked on X, “And if they’re taking this down, just imagine how much more they’re trying to hide … This could be one of the biggest coverups in American history.”
