Amber Davies, known for her stint on Love Island, recently addressed her fans after falling short of clinching the Strictly Come Dancing title. She and her professional partner Nikita Kuzmin delivered a trio of outstanding performances in the finale, standing alongside fellow contenders, ex-footballer Karen Carney and YouTube personality George Clarke. Ultimately, it was Karen and her dance partner Carlos Gu who triumphed, as they received the coveted Glitterball Trophy from hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly. The emotional evening saw Amber visibly moved, and she later expressed her sentiments in a heartfelt social media post.

This afternoon, Amber took to Instagram to share her thoughts, writing, “Hands down best night of my life! So unbelievably happy for you two wonderful humans @kazcarney @gkx_carlos.”

She continued, “Thank you so so much to the guys for all the love and support over the last 4 months, I’ll never ever forget it, this has been a complete dream. Thank you Judges for believing in me and for all your support, it has meant the world to me @craigrevel @motsimabuse @shirleyballas @mrantondubeke. @tessdaly @claudiawinkle Congratulations on the most incredible run! I’m so glad I got to be a tiny part of your Strictly memory. And now time for a lil rest before @legallyblondeshow begins.”

Despite Amber and Nikita’s impressive final leaderboard tally of 118 points, the public vote tipped the scales in Karen’s favor. In the end, it was the viewers who determined the champions, leaving Amber with cherished memories and gratitude for the journey.

Despite being top of the leaderboard with her partner Nikita during the final with an impressive 118 points, Karen was voted the winner by BBC viewers.

“I can’t believe it, it’s been the biggest privilege and honour,” Karen said after realising she’d won before adding she was “lost for words”.

The star’s football-themed jive to Blondie’s One Way Or Another gave them a standing ovation and a perfect score of 40, with scores of people of social media saying Karen deserved the accolade.

“I just want to say thank you to everybody that has supported our journey, and supported us,” Karen added.
