In a bid to apprehend a suspect linked to a tragic double homicide, federal and local authorities have jointly announced a reward of up to $7,500. They are actively seeking public assistance in locating the individual responsible for a deadly shooting that took place in March outside a Chipotle in Brockton, Massachusetts.

The U.S. Marshals Service has identified the suspect as 23-year-old Davinci Leonard. He faces serious charges including two counts of first-degree murder. Additionally, Leonard is accused of carrying a firearm without a license, possessing a loaded firearm without a license, having ammunition without a firearm identification card, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a residence.

The incident unfolded on the evening of March 22, 2025, when the Brockton Police Department received an urgent 911 call reporting gunfire outside the Chipotle restaurant. Responding quickly to the distress call, emergency teams arrived at the scene to discover two young victims—a 15-year-old boy and an 18-year-old woman—both suffering from gunshot injuries.

Authorities continue their relentless search for Leonard, who remains at large. The U.S. Marshals have issued a warning, describing him as armed and dangerous. They urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward, emphasizing the critical role public tips can play in bringing this case to justice.

Both victims were taken to the Good Samaritan Hospital, where the 15-year-old died. The 18-year-old was flown to Massachusetts General Hospital, where she also later died of her injuries.

An investigation by detectives with the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and Brockton Police Department led to Leonard being identified as the suspected shooter.

Now, U.S. Marshals are on a manhunt to track Leonard down. They say he is a black man who is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds.

Leonard is believed to have changed his appearance by cutting his hair, U.S. Marshals added, and he should be considered armed and dangerous.

The Plymouth Superior Court has issued an arrest warrant for Leonard’s arrest, along with authorization for a nationwide extradition.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the U.S. Marshals Service at 877-WANTED2.
