Excitement is reaching fever pitch as Jaguars fans scramble to secure playoff tickets following the team’s impressive 11th victory. According to NFL.com, the Jaguars now boast a remarkable 99-percent probability of clinching a coveted playoff berth.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — This is not a test: the Jacksonville Jaguars are on the brink of playoff glory.
In a commanding performance on Sunday, the Jaguars triumphed over the Broncos, propelling their season record to an impressive 11-4. With this victory, they find themselves on the cusp of securing a playoff spot, with NFL.com affirming their more than 99% chance. Meanwhile, both the Broncos and the Patriots have already locked in their postseason positions.
The playoff buzz is palpable, as evidenced by a local fan gear store owner who told First Coast News on Monday about purchasing as many as 17 playoff tickets to ensure they’re ready should the team advance.
Among the enthusiastic supporters was Hannah Privette, who, along with her two-year-old, browsed Sports Mania on Victory Monday. They were keen to stock up on merchandise in anticipation of the thrilling games ahead.
“Well, the Jags had a big win yesterday… we’re hoping for at least a home playoff game… got to get our Jags gear ready,” Privette said.
Privette says she’s been a fan of the team for a long time.
“I’m the same age as the Jaguars, so since birth,” Privette told First Coast News.
We asked her where her excitement ranked on a one-to-ten scale:
“I mean, right now—I feel like it’s almost an 11. Everyone is so excited, the city is buzzing,” Privette said.
Sports Mania’s owner, Mathew Smith, said the sale of Jaguars merchandise jumped from 75% to 200% in just one week.
Jaguars’ Business Communications department could not say how many playoff tickets have been sold, but that sales are tracking well and they’re not sold out. A single ticket starts at $130.
Fans like Privette and Smith say they will absolutely be in attendance.
“I think we’ll definitely make it, if we get a home playoff game. Oh 100%. — We will be there,” Privette said.
Smith said the store has already placed orders for playoff t-shirts and division championship gear.
