‘People said let’s do it;’ Ebertfest co-founder talks festival finale

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Chaz Ebert, the co-founder of Ebertfest and widow of Roger Ebert, shared with WCIA some insights into the film festival’s upcoming final edition.

Initially, the festival faced cancellation in September due to federal budget cuts that affected the University of Illinois’ College of Media, as explained by Ebert.
