SRP Board of Directors approves $115,000 for over 20 local charities

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. – In a generous move, SRP Federal Credit Union has announced the approval of a special initiative aimed at spreading kindness, with $115,000 earmarked for donations to 23 local charities.

This initiative, rooted in the credit union’s core belief of “People Helping People,” underscores their commitment to community support and development.

Each of the selected organizations plays a crucial role in addressing vital local needs, ranging from combating food insecurity and fostering youth development to supporting healthcare and promoting financial literacy.

Sandra DeVoe Bland, chairman of the Board of Directors at SRP Federal Credit Union, expressed the organization’s dedication, stating, “Our Random Acts of Kindness initiative strengthens our mission to positively impact the lives of those we serve. We are honored to support the outstanding work of these 23 charities.”

The donations are set to be distributed throughout the holiday season, making a timely difference in the community.
