CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. — In a significant move on December 22, the Chatham County Board of Elections appointed Brook Schreiner as the new elections supervisor. Schreiner will now be at the helm of overseeing the election operations within Chatham County.
Schreiner comes to this role with a wealth of experience, having previously served as the director of elections and registration for Butts County. Her tenure there lasted five years, following a decade-long stint with Henry County Elections and Voter Registration, where she held the position of elections supervisor from 2011 to 2021.
A proud alumna of Henry County High School, Schreiner is a certified Georgia Elections Official. She also actively participates in the Georgia Association of Voter Registration and Elections Officials, further solidifying her expertise in the field.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the new role, Schreiner stated, “I am honored to serve Chatham County as the Elections Director. My primary goal is to ensure every eligible voter has full confidence in the integrity and accessibility of our election process. I look forward to working closely with the Board and the dedicated staff to uphold transparency and professionalism in all our operations as we prepare for the upcoming election cycle.”
The Chairman of the Chatham County Board of Elections, Tom Mahoney, expressed his confidence in Schreiner’s capabilities, noting, “Brook Schreiner brings extensive experience in Georgia elections, and we are confident that she will serve the people of Chatham County well.”
Schreiner will begin her duties with Chatham County on Feb. 2, 2026.
