‘ICE Never Sleeps’: Stephen Miller Hails Holiday Deportations, Illegal Shot Trying to Run Over Agents

In a gesture of recognition for the dedication of ICE agents, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller highlighted their efforts this festive season, notably underscoring a deportation event that took place on Christmas Eve.

Miller circulated a video that reportedly captures agents conducting an arrest in Lewiston, Maine. The footage depicts a person identified as an “Angola suspect” who is resisting requests to present identification to the authorities.

A bystander recording the incident mentions that the suspect is a pastor, prompting an ICE agent to clarify, “Being a pastor doesn’t confer legal status.”

The agent further explains, “If you show us your immigration papers, we’ll have no issue. We’d verify and release you. But if you’re withholding documentation…”

Ultimately, the individual is taken into custody. The arrest is noted to have occurred on December 24th.

The man is eventually detained. The enforcement action date is listed as December 24th.

“ICE never sleeps,” Miller wrote on X.

While never sleeping, it’s clear ICE agents still need to be on their toes. In a post just ten minutes later, Miller shares a story about ICE agents who were very nearly mowed down by an illegal alien trying to make a break for it.

Tiago Alexandre Sousa-Martins, a Portuguese national defined as an illegal by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), was approached in his van in a Maryland suburb. Sousa-Martins had a passenger who was also identified as an illegal from El Salvador.

After agents instructed him to turn off his vehicle, the man instead “weaponized his vehicle and began ramming his van into several ICE vehicles,” according to a DHS statement posted to X.

“He then drove his van directly at ICE officers, attempting to run them over,” they added.

“Vehicle attacks on ICE officers are domestic terrorism,” Miller declared.

Agents fired on Sousa-Martins as he was trying to run them over, striking him and leading to a crash of the vehicle. Both aliens were given medical attention and transported to a local hospital, where they were listed in stable condition and expected to recover.

“Thankfully, the ICE officers were not severely injured,” DHS writes, noting that “extremist rhetoric” on the left is only encouraging “illegal aliens and violent agitators to actively resist ICE” and “will only lead to more violent incidents.”

Having just pointed out that an illegal tried to mow down ICE agents in an act of domestic terrorism, check out CNN’s headline, which begins with these six words: “ICE agents shot an undocumented man.”

Maryland man, eh, CNN?

That kind of framing stirs up the low-IQ base they call viewers. Sickening.

Meanwhile, under the newly enacted Laken Riley Act—the first law signed by President Trump in his second term—more than 17,500 illegal immigrants have been arrested in 2025 for crimes triggering mandatory detention.

Thousands of criminal aliens removed from U.S. streets. A Christmas gift to the American people.
