Tylor Chase has found the medical care he desperately needs in a Southern California hospital, thanks to the concerted efforts of friends and family. The former child actor, best known for his role in “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide,” is now on a path to recovery after a significant intervention.

Daniel Curtis Lee, a co-star from Chase’s past, shared with the Daily Mail that Chase’s father had reached out to Jacob ‘Jake’ Harris, a Los Angeles influencer and business owner, urging him to take action to assist his son.

On Christmas Day, Harris recounted his efforts, saying, “I was finally able to contact a crisis center that could conduct a same-day evaluation. They quickly assessed that Tylor required immediate medical attention and took him to a nearby hospital for a 72-hour treatment.” Harris expressed optimism about the situation, adding, “He’s receiving the care he needs now, and the future looks promising. Sometimes, all it takes is someone stepping up to make a difference.”

Harris was particularly motivated to help Chase due to his connection with Shaun Weiss, the former “Mighty Ducks” star who overcame his own battles with addiction. This personal link gave Harris the insight and determination to aid Chase in finding the help he needed.

Harris, for his part, became involved in spearheading Chase’s recovery because he is an acquaintance of Shaun Weiss, the former Mighty Ducks star who struggled with his own addiction issues for years, but has since been in recovery.

The much-needed good news for Chase comes after he was pictured on a rainy Christmas Eve as a fan gave him a red raincoat to help brave the elements — as well as some food — before saying a prayer for the former child star.

His old costar Lee, 34, earlier said that he was ‘uncertain’ whether Chase, 36, had looked for medical care ‘of his own volition,’ but said he was one of many pals to FaceTime with his former costar on Monday to ‘encourage him to go into treatment.’

‘His father informed me that he instructed Jake to get Tylor into treatment however possible,’ Lee told the Daily Mail. ‘I pray this is a step to get him to stay in treatment.’

Chase was seen braving a rainy day in Southern California on Wednesday, as he was seen in a clip on TMZ accepting new clothes from Good Samaritans, who prayed with him for his well-being. Chase thanked the people for helping him out.

Weiss, 47, made a public plea about Chase on Monday, claiming he wanted to track him down to help him, as he had received many touching messages about the actor online.

A few hours later, he confirmed via a separate video: ‘I have reached out to some friends of mine and we have a bed for him at a detox and we have a place for him to go and get long-term treatment.’

Weiss exclusively revealed to the Daily Mail, however, that his and Harris’ first attempt on Monday night did not go as fully planned. While they were able to get Chase to a hotel room, he did not follow through on their wishes to go to a hospital or detox center shortly thereafter.

‘Jake had established a conversation with him and was working on establishing a rapport, which is difficult — and it can be tricky — considering the state that Tyler’s in,’ Weiss explained. ‘He said that Tyler seemed to be very receptive to getting treatment and to the idea of going into a detox.’

The Heavyweights star said Chase got ‘spooked’ at one point, and then allegedly became resistant to help, adding: ‘I think a comment he made was, “I like my life the way it is,” and I can assure you he does not like his life the way it is.’

Weiss said that Harris had also contacted local police for additional assistance, and pointed out that the authorities had been ‘incredibly cooperative.’

He added: ‘We’re just doing whatever we have to do to sort of get him off the street.’

Police previously told the Daily Mail that Chase had been ‘cordial and cooperative’ with them, but mentioned to TMZ that Chase had also consistently declined their shelter, drug or alcohol treatment or mental health services.

Harris posted via his Instagram late Monday a message, though, explaining that he had sat with Chase ‘for an hour’ while the latter’s father and costars called him.

‘They explained their love for him and how much they want/need him to agree to getting help,’ Harris wrote.

‘He’s now in contact with all the right people to get him the help he needs. He has a hotel room tonight to give him to time to make the decision on his own.’

Lee commented under Harris’ post: ‘Thanks for getting the ball rolling for his treatment Jake.’

The concerned friend also exclusively told the Daily Mail that he had been worried about Chase ever since learning back in November via a TikTok video that he was dealing with mental health and substance abuse problems.

‘It was devastating to see someone I grew up with in this condition,’ Lee added.

The Nickelodeon alum admitted that ‘like many former castmates,’ he had not been ‘in close contact’ with Chase in recent years, but was still ‘deeply saddened to learn of his struggles.’

Chase portrayed Martin Qwerly on 33 episodes of the show from 2004–2007, while Lee played the role of Simon ‘Cookie’ Nelson-Cook on 54 episodes.

Lee – who has been busy with producing and directing a reality show for two-time U.S. Olympic gold medalist Claressa Shields – said he made time to check in on his former castmate and ‘reminisce on simpler childhood days.’

‘Despite the rough exterior shaped by years on the street, [I] can still see the light in Tylor’s eyes, which gives [me] hope,’ the actor said.

Lee also got in touch with Chase’s mother, Paula, who has ’emphasized that giving money directly is not beneficial and could put Tylor at risk.’

However, the matriarch ‘shared that her door is open’ to her son, Lee said.

'Despite the rough exterior shaped by years on the street, [I] can still see the light in Tylor’s eyes, which gives [me] hope,' Lee said of Chase, seen here as Martin Qwerly on Nickelodeon

The Zeke and Luther alum said that he continues to keep Chase in his prayers but asked that ‘Tylor’s privacy be respected and that people refrain from recording him when offering help.’

He concluded by being appreciative for ‘the outpouring of support from fans and those Tylor inspired as a young actor could help guide him toward a healthier path.’

The Daily Mail talked with Chase exclusively on Monday, as he roamed the streets of Riverside, California, near a 7-Eleven convenience store.

He was wearing a tattered purple jacket, oversized gray T-shirt, dark pants and brown loafers. He was spotted at the time rummaging through cigarette butts and Christmas cards.

In a heartfelt message to his mother, he said: ‘I love you. I’ll talk to you soon.’

Prior to becoming homeless, Chase still lived at home with his family, where he recorded many moody and tragic videos that gave a glimpse into his inner battles.

In a resurfaced video from 2014 titled ‘Bipolar’, he said: ‘I’m a leaf in a running gutter with the inevitable fate of ending up in a drain.

‘I have a hard time in life. I know that I can make it better, but right now, I’m a magician who has misplaced his top hat and rabbits. No one comes to my shows any more.’

In an apparent cry for help, he added: ‘I’m chained into my bedroom by the gravity of bipolar. Perhaps I am doomed. Perhaps I have done nothing. Perhaps I am nothing.’
