Scooter driver killed in Christmas Day crash with car on U.S. 27 in Davenport

DAVENPORT, Fla. (WFLA) — A fatal collision on Christmas Day claimed the life of a 52-year-old scooter rider on U.S. 27 in Davenport, as reported by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred when Ruben Perez exited a gas station on his 2019 Tao Scooter. The crash unfolded around 11:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Jacks Road.
