It’s the time of year when bones and fossils take center stage.
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow embraced this theme wholeheartedly, selecting it for his offensive line’s holiday gifts.
The Bengals’ official TikTok account unveiled Burrow’s unique gift choice on December 27, revealing, “This year, Joe Burrow gifted his offensive linemen authentic dinosaur, bear, and mammoth fossils for Christmas.”
In keeping with the quarterback tradition of giving extravagant presents to the teammates who protect him on the field, Joe embraced a prehistoric motif. According to ESPN, the 29-year-old hosted his teammates at his home, where they had the opportunity to choose their own fossil.
Among the recipients, Orlando Brown Jr. and Amarius Mims each received cave bear skulls, while Dylan Fairchild was gifted a piece of a T-Rex.
For the team—who received samurai swords last year—it was a testament to Joe’s fun and unique interests.
“I think it speaks to his intelligence and interests and his desire to do something unique,” center Ted Karras told ESPN in an interview Dec. 26. “I thought it was really special.”
