Sunday afternoon tornadoes sweep through Macon Co., damage estimate still pending

MACON COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — On Sunday afternoon, two tornadoes made landfall in Macon County, bringing severe weather conditions to Central Illinois.

Tammy Schneider, the Director of Macon County EMA, reported that the first tornado briefly appeared near Blue Mound at approximately 3:05 p.m. Fortunately, no damage was noted in that vicinity.
