Gabourey Sidibe and Brandon Frankel have dubbed their Christmas celebrations with their twins as “our Super Bowl,” choosing to spend this cherished holiday at home with their family.
On December 25th, Brandon Frankel offered a peek into their festive celebrations through a series of photos shared on Instagram. The images captured the couple and their 20-month-old twins, Cooper and Maya, all dressed in vibrant matching pajamas. The bold blue, yellow, and turquoise patterns added a lively flair to their holiday attire, creating a playful atmosphere. In these delightful snapshots, the Precious star can be seen holding one of their twins, while her husband cradles the other.
Frankel wrote, “Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the Frankels! This year, I got everyone matching African print family pajamas to keep the annual tradition alive, paying tribute to @gabbysidibe, my African print Queen! As she says, ‘this is our Super Bowl,’ and I was probably more excited for them to wake up to all their presents than they were.”

He added, “They’re so big now, and for their second Christmas, they have more of an idea of what’s happening. These three are all the gifts I need. And don’t worry—we’re incorporating our Jewish tradition of Chinese food, haha.”
Just a month earlier, in November, the Empire actress shared a touching moment on social media, featuring Cooper and Maya visiting her on the set of a new project she was directing. In the photo, she stands proudly beside her director’s chair, holding both children. She humorously captioned the image, mentioning that they “STILL aren’t allowed to watch screens tho.”
Brandon later shared his own reflection from the visit, writing that seeing his wife balance motherhood and her career was something he deeply admired.
“I’m really glad the twins and I were able to travel across the country so they could be reunited with mama @gabbysidibe while she directed a new movie,” he captioned his post. “Seeing them light up when they got to see her after weeks of her being gone (minus FaceTimes and videos daily) was magical. PROUD OF YOU!!”
