Katie Maloney Draws Surprising Comparison Between Kyle Cooke and Tom Sandoval

The latest hurdle involves Kyle, who moonlights as a DJ, and a controversy surrounding his decision to stay overnight at a fan’s house, where he was found asleep.

Kyle maintains that his actions were innocent and insists on his unwavering loyalty to Amanda. Despite his assurances, this incident has left many, including fellow reality TV personalities, skeptical, as rumors suggest this might not have been an isolated event. One such concerned voice is Katie Maloney, a prominent figure from Vanderpump Rules, who recently offered her perspective on the matter.

During a candid discussion on her podcast, Disrespectfully, Katie shared her insights into the couple’s predicament. Expressing support for Amanda, she drew parallels with her own experiences of dating people who enjoy the nightlife. Katie voiced her frustration over Kyle’s response to the situation, pointing out the need for more transparency and accountability in such scenarios.

Katie Said Kyle Failed To Take Responsibility

Katie weighed in on the messy situation between Kyle and Amanda on a recent episode of her podcast, Disrespectfully. She told listeners that she was irritated with the way that Kyle had handled the situation after being caught staying out at a fan’s so late.

In Katie’s opinion, she felt like Kyle pointing out that Amanda had declined his invitation to go to the event that evening felt like an attempt on his part to put blame on her, even though she hadn’t done anything wrong. The situation made Katie feel defensive of Amanda, and she spoke out about how she thought Kyle was in the wrong.

This is where she made the comparison to Kyle’s bad behavior being like Tom Sandoval, who was also caught with another woman despite being married to fellow cast member Ariana Madix:

It’s removing responsibility. If Amanda had gone, you would’ve behaved yourself? How about [you] be an adult and act accordingly all on your own? It’s giving Tom Sandoval being like, ‘Well Ariana If you just followed me, you would’ve seen I was going to f*** Raquel and not going to Tom Schwartz’s house.’ No, no, no, we’re not going to do that.

Katie Had Similar Relationship Issues In The Past

It would appear that Katie was also speaking from the heart about this situation, as she divulged she once had similar issues with her ex. Those who have been following her for a while will know that she was previously married to her fellow Vanderpump Rules cast member, Tom Schwartz.

On the same podcast episode, Katie admitted that she related to Amanda’s struggles, as Tom used to stay out late and make her anxious, wondering where he was:

[I remember Tom going to] happy hour and it’s four in the morning and I’m having to check his location to make sure he’s not in a ditch. Putting that kind of emotional strain, mental strain on your partner, is unforgivable.

While Katie did say she didn’t want to insert herself in Kyle and Amanda’s personal lives, it was clear who she sided with in the situation. Before moving off the topic, Katie offered some words of wisdom for Amanda amid her relationship struggles.

“It eventually comes down to she has to just do what’s best for her and not what’s best for her relationship,” she said. “I’d rather be alone and happy than with somebody who constantly embarrasses me,” she added.
