Tatiana Schlossberg, known for her work as an environmental journalist and as the granddaughter of former U.S. President John F. Kennedy, has passed away at the age of 35.
“Our beautiful Tatiana passed away this morning. She will always be in our hearts,” herfamily said in a statement posted on social media by the John F Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum.
Her passing follows a recent announcement she made about being diagnosed with terminal leukemia, which she revealed in an essay published by The New Yorker just last month.
Schlossberg shared that her cancer was discovered by doctors shortly after the birth of her daughter in May 2024.
In addition to her journalism career, Schlossberg was a published author, contributing to the science and climate sections of The New York Times.
She was the second daughter of former US Ambassador to Australia Caroline Kennedy and designer Edwin Schlossberg.
She leaves behind her husband, George Moran, and their two children, who survive her.
