The eagerly anticipated conclusion to the beloved series is swiftly approaching. Here’s what fans need to know.

WASHINGTON — Enthusiasts of “Stranger Things” are on the brink of one final journey into the upside-down, as the series prepares to bid farewell.

Following the release of the last season’s second installment on Christmas Day, only the series finale remains to be unveiled.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, December 31, when the concluding episode of “Stranger Things” will make its debut. Thankfully, there’s no need to wait until the stroke of midnight.

What time is “Stranger Things” finale coming out?

The episode, aptly named “The Rightside Up,” premieres at 8 p.m. Eastern (7 p.m. Central, 5 p.m. Pacific) on December 31.

The final episode, titled “The Rightside Up,” will premiere on Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. Eastern (7 p.m. Central, 5 p.m. Pacific).

For the first time ever, fans have multiple options to experience the series finale. It’ll premiere simultaneously on Netflix and in more than 350 theaters across the United States and Canada, with screenings continuing through Jan. 1, 2026.

How long is the “Stranger Things” finale?

The series finale runtime is about 2 hours and eight minutes, according to the Duffer Brothers, who created the show.

Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, Noah Schnapp and other denizens of demon-haunted Hawkins, Indiana, will engage in a final boss battle with the villain Vecna as the show that debuted in 2016 comes to a close. Fans have been anxiously speculating about which, if any, of the stars the creators may kill off in the finale. It’s one of Netflix’s biggest nights ever, and could easily be a record-setter for viewers.

Final runtimes for “Stranger Things” season 5 episodes

Episodes 5, 6 and 7 arrived on the night of Christmas. The three-episode drop picked up right after the events of the first four episodes of Season 5 that premiered around Thanksgiving.

Here’s the runtimes breakdown of the last four episodes of the series:

  • Episode 5 “Shock Jock”: 1hr 8min
  • Episode 6 “Escape From Camazotz”: 1hr 15min
  • Episode 7 “The Bridge”: 1hr 6min
  • Episode 8 “The Rightside Up”: 2hr 8 min
