A chilling tale unfolded in Nevada as a 27-year-old man was charged with the brutal murder of his parents, a crime that led him to plead with authorities to either arrest him or end his life. The accused, Adrian Bailey, now faces two counts of open murder following the horrific events that occurred on December 27 in Las Vegas.

Man allegedly beat parents to death

According to police reports, the tragedy began when Adrian made a desperate 911 call at 11:30 p.m., confessing to the murder of his parents, Roger and Kristine Bailey. In the call, he reportedly expressed that he “couldn’t take it anymore,” and asked to be “taken in for murder.” This unsettling confession was detailed in an arrest report obtained by KLAS, a local CBS affiliate.

By the time officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene initially provided by dispatchers, Adrian was nowhere to be found. However, his sense of urgency didn’t fade, as he made a second frantic call from a different location. In this call, Adrian implored the officers to “kill him on sight,” claiming he was a threat to both himself and others. The report highlights his “hysterical” demeanor, exacerbated by alcohol, as he admitted to killing his father and cited enduring “abuse” as a breaking point.

Authorities finally located Adrian Bailey around 11:45 p.m. at his second location. Upon arrest, he was found with blood on his skin and clothing, a grim testament to the violence that had occurred. During his subsequent police interview, Adrian exercised his right to legal representation by requesting an attorney.

Officers made contact with Adrian Bailey at 11:45 p.m. at the second location and placed him in custody. He reportedly had blood on his skin and clothing when he was arrested. During his interview with police, he requested an attorney.

Roger Bailey was pronounced dead at the scene. Kristine Bailey was taken to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. Both alleged victims had blunt force injuries and were found in the living room of their home. According to the arrest report, police found a child-sized baseball bat at the top of a staircase, where there was also blood spatter on the wall.

A neighbor of the Baileys who knew the family told KLAS in an interview that Roger and Kristine Bailey had been experiencing “issues” with their son.

Adrian Bailey was charged with two counts of open murder with a deadly weapon. During a court appearance on Monday, a judge ordered him to be held at the Clark County Detention Center without bail. Another court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday.
