When it comes to counting calories, some individuals take a refreshing approach—on horseback, no less!

In a delightful twist, a rider in Australia decided to place her McDonald’s order in an unconventional way, galloping through the drive-through on her steed. Captured on video, Erin Beattie, mounted on her trusty stallion Waylon Bronson, approached the window of the fast-food restaurant in the quiet town of Googong, situated approximately 400 miles from Melbourne.

In the footage, Beattie muses aloud, “We’ll see if they’re willing to serve me a soft serve cone or not,” while expressing a playful curiosity about the potential arrival of a car behind her. Her adventurous spirit shines as she navigates this unique drive-through experience.

Ultimately, Beattie was successful in her quest, purchasing a vanilla cone and cheerfully announcing, “Cool! The McDonald’s at Googong will serve you [on horseback].” Her lighthearted adventure underscores the unexpected joy found in blending tradition with a touch of whimsy.

She then ponied up the cash for a vanilla cone before proclaiming, “Cool! The McDonald’s at Googong will serve you [on horseback.]”

The cone-loving cowgirl got really caught a break, as McDonald’s official corporate policy says their drive throughs are for four wheels, not four hooves.

“McDonald’s drive thru is for people in motor vehicles only – bicycles are not permitted on our drive thru due to the health and safety policies we have in place,” the company says on its website.
