Charrisse’s comments were made during an appearance on Carlos King’s podcast, Reality with The King. She criticized Ashley as “tacky” and even suggested her actions bordered on being incestuous, while also accusing her of fabricating storylines for the reality show.
On December 30, Ashley took to social media to issue her response. The Bravo personality stated, “There’s obviously a lot of discourse about me. I will say that I appreciate people who maintain the same energy that they had during the season in the off-season.”
She further elaborated, “I find it very odd for people who get all buck when the cameras go down. Very strange behavior to me, number one. Number two: I am a consenting adult, thankfully, who only engages with other consenting adults. And if we want to get into the nuances of that, that’s fine, but consenting adult to consenting adult always and forever.”
@thenochasertv Ashley Darby took a brief moment from her holiday activities to address some of the discourse surrounding her as of late. Ashley continued, “I find it very odd for people who get all buck when the cameras go down. Very strange behavior to me, number one. Number two: I am a consenting adult, thankfully, who only engages with other consenting adults. And if we want to get into the nuances of that, that’s fine, but consenting adult to consenting adult always and forever.”
From there, she went on to claim that she’s “not one to engage in social media like that” and that she would be “parched and ready” at the reunion. She added, “I’m happy for anyone else who needs to use this opportunity for their 15 minutes of fame. Love for you to have that.”
The video continued, and Ashley said, “I also can acknowledge and take ownership of something that I maybe did wrong in a situation, but what I will not take ownership of is a false rumor or narrative about me that is completely untrue. I abide by the law, I respect the law, I don’t do anything that violates the law, and I’m going to continue that way, so let’s not propagate that because that’s never been true and never will be true.”
Aside from the drama with Charrisse’s son, Ashley also recently took to social media to open up about co-parenting her two sons with Michael. She admitted, “Co-parenting is just not getting easier for me.”

She continued, “I don’t know what it is. Some of my friends have said, who have been in similar situations, that after a while, it’ll start to just sort of like even out, and you will find your rhythm, and you’ll find ways to occupy your time, which, yes, I do, but like there’s just nothing like being with my children.”
Ashley went on to say that she’s happy that the boys are with Michael and has no desire to intrude upon his relationship with them. However, she explained that she misses them when it’s Michael’s turn to have them. She added, “And the older they get, the more fun they are. The more interactive they are. Co-parenting is tough.”
The Real Housewives of Potomac airs on Sunday nights.
