As the calendar flipped to 2026, a constellation of A-list celebrities gathered on the glamorous Caribbean island of St Barts, capturing every moment of their opulent celebration to share with the world online.

Among them, former supermodel Heidi Klum, now 52, was particularly prolific in her social media activity. The German fashion icon flooded her followers’ feeds with 17 posts throughout the festivities.

With her tousled hair, Klum recorded a playful selfie video at a nightclub and showcased a lavish spread of Petrossian caviar, known to fetch up to $447 per tin.

The mother of five also broadcasted a spectacular fireworks display lighting up the night sky over a picturesque bay, all to the backdrop of pulsating dance music. Her husband, Tom Kaulitz, 36, was seen indulging in a $2,500 jeroboam of Cristal champagne, reveling in the nightclub’s lively atmosphere.

The celebration continued with Klum sharing moments with her husband and brother-in-law, Bill Kaulitz, as they enjoyed the luxurious gathering. The Kaulitz brothers, members of the German pop-rock band Tokio Hotel, added a musical note to the extravagant evening.

Klum spent at least part of the festivities back at Nikki Beach where famed DJ Diplo, 47, performed an exclusive set. 

Diplo, real name Thomas Wesley Pentz, also got in on the social media bragging with a photo obviously taken from the deck of a superyacht. 

The unidentified boat he was on was moored off St Barts with other superyachts visible. Billionaires Jeff Bezos and David Geffen are among those aboard their vessels for the annual frenzy of celebrations.

St Barts was a who’s-who all week as A-listers, including Jeff Bezos, Lauren Sanchez, Michael Jordan, and Sam Altman, have been spotted on the island. 

Bezos, 61, and Sanchez, 56, were previously spotted at Nikki Beach dancing and drinking with dozens of bikini-clad women. 

The couple parked their $500 million yacht off the shore of St Barts in a sea of shockingly extravagant celebrity boats. 

The rich and famous have a tradition on the island of sounding their foghorns on their mega yachts in unison when the clock strikes 12. 

Other celebrities who parked their massive yachts off the coast of St Barts include Google co-founder Sergey Brin, Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan, WhatsApp founder Jan Koum, and Michael Jordan.

Locals of the island have shared their annoyance with the gluttonous activities of the ultra-rich on New Year’s, with many airing out their grievances online.

One Reddit user who has traveled to the island for 12 years said St Barts has become a magnet for the ‘tacky designer crowd.’ 

Others were shocked at the sea of mega yachts, complaining that they block the view of the beautiful ocean. 

Social media users also mercilessly mocked Bezos and Sanchez for their party behavior at Nikki Beach. 

Sanchez was filmed in a denim mini skirt and a tight brown top, dancing on her seat and clinging to her phone.

‘One of the richest men in the world parading around partying with his 56-year-old teenager wife like a University of Miami fraternity brother,’ one reacted on X. ‘Exhausting and cringe.’

‘These disgusting people could eradicate homelessness across the entire world with their cash and look what they do instead. So tacky and vile,’ another added.

‘All the money in the world and he’s hanging out with teenagers carrying fireworks. Strange life,’ wrote a third.
