Authorities confirmed on Friday that they have discovered the body of a 4-year-old boy who disappeared on Wednesday during a visit to his father in Alabama.
Johnathan Boley was found deceased approximately two miles from his father’s residence in Walker County. The young boy had gone missing along with his dog, who was located alive near Johnathan’s body, as reported by WBRC.
According to a previous report by Crime Online, Johnathan’s 6-year-old sibling was the last to see him as he ventured under a fence with their dog into the nearby woods.
Following the report of Johnathan’s disappearance, his father was taken into custody due to the discovery of explosive materials within his home and surrounding area. The FBI became involved as remnants from past explosions were identified in the woods where the boy was last seen.
Sheriff Nick Smith has announced charges against Jameson Boley, 40, the boy’s father, for the illegal creation of a destructive device or biological weapon. Smith also highlighted that the two brothers reside with their mother in Florida but had been spending five days with their father. They were scheduled to return to their mother on Thursday.
