In a deeply unsettling development, a Colorado high school kitchen employee has been taken into custody on serious charges, including incest and the sexual assault of a minor.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of John Michael Beccia Jr. following a tip-off suggesting his involvement with child pornography. This alarming information prompted a thorough investigation, which unveiled further accusations.

Beccia, aged 35, was apprehended on Wednesday. He now faces multiple charges: aggravated incest, sexual assault on a child by someone in a position of trust, and sexual exploitation of a child.

Employed as an assistant kitchen manager at Mountain Vista High School since November, Beccia’s tenure was abruptly halted. The school district placed him on administrative leave before terminating his employment.

While the sheriff’s office has refrained from disclosing detailed information regarding the charges, it has confirmed that no students from Mountain Vista High School have been identified as victims at this time. The investigation, however, remains active and ongoing.
