In a significant legal development, a Rankin man named Wyatt H. Morris finds himself facing a more severe consequence after failing to adhere to the conditions of his probation related to a child sex crime. The Ford County Circuit Court has now sentenced the 29-year-old to four years in state prison, as reported by WCIA 3’s collaboration with the Ford County Chronicle.

This decision was handed down on December 31, 2025, after Morris violated the terms of his probation. Initially, Morris’s legal troubles began in March 2023, when he was charged with indecent solicitation of a child—a charge categorized as a Class 3 felony. The charges stemmed from his actions of sending sexually explicit images to a 16-year-old via social media and attempting to solicit the minor for sexual activities.
