An early morning domestic conflict in Jacksonville escalated into a shooting, leaving a woman in critical condition, according to local police.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A severe domestic altercation in Jacksonville has resulted in a woman sustaining life-threatening gunshot wounds, authorities reported.
The incident unfolded shortly before 1 a.m. on Sunday on Kingfisher Lane. Officers from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office discovered a woman in her 30s who had been shot multiple times. She was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where her injuries are considered life-threatening.
Initial investigations suggest that the situation began as a domestic dispute within a residence and subsequently escalated into gunfire.
Detectives from JSO are actively gathering information by interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage from the vicinity.
