As we step into the new year, Savannah residents can look forward to a pleasant change in the weather. After enduring a damp and overcast Saturday, Sunday promises a reprieve with the return of dry conditions. The day will begin with some persistent clouds and areas of fog, but these will gradually clear, allowing the sun to make an appearance by the afternoon. Expect a cooler and breezy day, with temperatures peaking in the upper 50s to around 60 degrees, which is typical for this time of year.

Looking further into the week, a warming trend is on the horizon. The weather will remain calm, with a delightful blend of sun and clouds each day. Temperatures will start to rise, reaching the upper 60s on Monday. By Tuesday, the mercury will climb into the lower 70s, and from Wednesday through the weekend, highs will comfortably settle in the mid-70s. The next opportunity for rain isn’t expected until late next Friday into Saturday, when a mild cold front could bring a few scattered showers.

This forecast paints a promising picture for those eager to embrace the fresh start of the year outdoors. With such agreeable weather ahead, it’s the perfect time to get outside and make the most of the first full week of 2026!

Looking ahead, a warming trend sets up for the upcoming week. We’ll enjoy quiet conditions with a mix of sun and clouds each day. Highs climb into the upper 60s on Monday, the lower 70s by Tuesday, and the mid 70s from Wednesday through the end of the week. Our next chance for rain holds off until late next Friday into Saturday, when a weak cold front may bring a few passing showers.

So it’s definitely a great week to get outside and enjoy the first full week of the new year!
