The Gainesville Police Department is reaching out to the community for help following a shooting that occurred in the early hours of January 2. The incident took place in the 1000 block of NE 23rd Street, and local authorities are eager to gather any information that could aid their investigation.

Police were called to the scene shortly after midnight, where they discovered that a party had escalated into an altercation, resulting in one individual being shot. Fortunately, the injuries sustained are not considered life-threatening. However, the details surrounding the incident remain unclear, prompting law enforcement to seek assistance from the public.
