Three Suspects Arrested in Connection with Fatal Shooting in East Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Authorities have detained three individuals following the tragic shooting of a man in east Birmingham on Saturday.

The Birmingham Police Department reported that officers responded to a call about gunfire at approximately 4:54 p.m. on Saturday, heading to the 8000 block of First Avenue South. Upon arrival, they discovered a man inside a vehicle who had been shot.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel declared the man deceased at the scene. The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Morgan Brown, a local resident. Initial investigations suggest that the suspects robbed and subsequently shot Brown.
