In a chilling turn of events, Western Australia Police have unveiled a series of unsettling graffiti images they believe might hold crucial links to the mysterious disappearance of Charlie Park, a 66-year-old man who vanished 14 years ago and is presumed to have been murdered.

Park was last seen alive on the night of January 3, 2012. He had spent the evening with a coworker at the Recreation Hotel before heading home to his residence on Richardson Street in Boulder around 10:30 PM. However, just days later, he was reported missing, sparking a long-running investigation that has so far yielded no answers.

Despite numerous public appeals and the incentive of a $1 million reward for information, Park’s fate remains a mystery. Authorities suspect foul play and have maintained their belief that he was indeed murdered.

In a bid to unravel the case, police have now released images of graffiti that appeared to target Park. This graffiti was discovered in a laneway behind the Recreation Hotel just days before his disappearance, specifically between December 21 and 22, 2011. The sinister timing of these messages has led investigators to consider them as potentially significant in solving the case.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward and speak to police, who have set up a mobile police facility near the pub from today until 2pm tomorrow.

Police will then remain in the area as investigations continue.

Cold Case Investigations Detective Senior Sergeant Uwais Cuff said Park’s family deserves answers.

“This week marks 14 years since Mr Park went missing, and although that time has passed, we are leaving no stone unturned to find out what happened to Charlie,” he said.

“Someone out there knows something which could be the vital piece of information we need to solve this, someone out there may hold the key to bringing answers to Charlie’s family.

“If you know anything, no matter how minor it may seem, contact police.”
