A Chicago man is making a desperate appeal for assistance as he searches for his wife, who vanished after heading out for a routine acupuncture session. The disappearance of Linda Brown, 53, has left her family and community in distress as they rally to find her.

Linda was last seen on Saturday in the vicinity of the 4500 block of South Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, according to reports from the Chicago Police Department. Her sudden disappearance has sparked a wave of concern, prompting a citywide search effort.

Her husband, Antwon, has taken to the media, expressing his deep anguish over the situation. In a heartfelt interview with FOX 32, he shared his feelings of helplessness, saying, “I’m broke down. I don’t know what to do. I’ve done everything.”

Antwon has been actively coordinating with friends and volunteers, urging anyone with information to come forward. “I’m talking to people. We’ve got people searching for her. I’m out of options,” he confessed, highlighting the urgency and desperation of the search for Linda.

Antwon added: ‘I’m talking to people. We’ve got people searching for her. I’m out of options.’

He said the last time he had seen Linda was on Friday night when they watched a movie together and she went to bed early.

When Antwon woke up the next morning, his wife was no longer there.

‘I woke up at 8.45am and she was gone,’ he told the outlet.

However, Antwon did not immediately suspect that anything was wrong with his wife.

‘She took her purse and credit cards, but I’m thinking she was at acupuncture,’ he added.

But when she did not show up for her scheduled appointment and she did not respond to his messages and calls, Linda’s family contacted police to report her missing.

‘She normally answers when I call,’ he told NBC Chicago.

Antwon said that he was ‘terrified’ by his wife’s disappearance and desperate for her to return safely.

‘I am just shaking,’ he said. ‘I need my wife home.’

According to a missing persons flyer shared by the Chicago Teachers Union, Linda was on her way to Wicker Park for the appointment when she went missing.

Linda is currently a special education teacher at Chicago’s Robert Healy Elementary, per the school’s website.

She was scheduled to return to work yesterday after taking a leave of absence, NBC Chicago reported.

Linda had faced mental health challenges and was receiving help prior to her disappearance.

‘That was her main thing, helping kids. She loved it,’ Lisa Quintana, Brown’s sister, told WGN–TV.

She claimed Linda had ‘never missed a day of work,’ making her disappearance even more uncharacteristic.

Quintana added: ‘She always went and she always had a smile on her face. Positive attitude all the time.’

She insisted that Linda would not desert her loved ones on purpose – especially her husband.

‘No matter where she goes [or] what she’s doing, he knows where she is at,’ Quintana said.’

Her sister said Linda was ‘in contact with Antwon all the time’, which set off alarm bells when she stopped responding to him.
